Sprintraces

Being out on the racetrack is great fun. Even when riding freely, there are always opportunities to go head-to-head with others. But a race is something else entirely. It’s important to us that every participant has the chance to take part in a race. Anyone who’s up for it can sign up for our sprint races. So don’t be shy – just add your starting number to the list at the MotoMonster trailer.
We always have the SBK class and the Rookies; at some circuits there’s also an SSP race. You can’t register specifically for the Rookies – you simply sign up for the relevant class (SBK or SSP); the faster riders are placed in those races, whilst the rest are automatically assigned to the Rookies.

Start

The starters gather at the pit exit. After a warm-up lap, they head to the starting grid, and then the starting lights take over.

Starting Grid

Depending on the circuit, we have up to 40 participants. Starting positions are allocated based on the lap times set during qualifying.

Participants

Any rider is allowed to take part – regardless of which group they are riding in. The only requirement is that, for safety reasons, the time difference between the first and last riders on the starting grid must not exceed 20%. To take part, you must write your starting number on the list of sprint races (on the registration) and attend the race briefing (where you’ll be given a sticker for your motorbike). The times set in qualifying determine each driver’s starting position; the starting grid will be available upon registration. Depending on the circuit, the race will consist of six or seven laps, with the race starting from the starting grid under a traffic-light start.
