Spreewaldring 2026

After eight years away, we returned to the birthplace of MotoMonster this year. The weather couldn’t have been better, and with a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere in the paddock, what more could we ask for? Everyone was making the most of the throttle from the very first session, while keeping things calm and considerate on track. As a result, there were hardly any stoppages or crashes. At 5:30 pm, it was time to line up for the sprint race.

Rookies

Michael Baczynski had set the fastest time and started from pole, with Michael Conrad and Tobias Wörpel completing the top three. Michael Baczynski took the lead off the line, and although Michael Conrad did everything he could to stay with him, the gap kept growing. Tobias had his hands full with his KTM 1290 on the tight circuit and couldn’t keep up with the two R6s, so the podium places were settled fairly quickly. The battle for fourth, however, was a different story. Per Poulsen led the trio ahead of Oliver Lucke and Jan Haffer. Jan repeatedly tried his luck along the start-finish straight and into the corner at the end but couldn’t find a way past. Then Oliver went on the attack and passed Per. A lap later, Per returned the favour and reclaimed fourth. Oliver wasn’t having that: he overtook again and managed to put a few metres between himself and Per. Jan immediately latched onto Per, but despite his best efforts, he couldn’t get through. Nothing had changed at the front, with Michael Baczynski taking a commanding win ahead of Michael Conrad and Tobias. Oliver finished fourth ahead of Per and Jan.

After the podium ceremony, we enjoyed a delicious dinner together before winding down for the evening.
Sunday morning brought a few drops of rain, but by the time riding began, the sun was back out and the track was dry. Another day of perfect conditions for getting to grips with the STC circuit.

We had a brilliant time and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere throughout the event. We would like to thank every rider, helper and supporter for such a fantastic return. We’ll be back.
