Oschersleben IV 2026

Our final stop at Osche for the 2026 season, and once again, we had a full house. We had capped each session at 40 riders, and it really made a difference. Apart from one brief red flag, there were no interruptions and plenty of space on track to bang in fast laps without getting held up. The forecast hadn’t looked particularly promising, but luck was on our side and it stayed dry throughout Monday. The weather even held for the track walk, and we rounded off the day with a relaxing evening in the paddock.
Tuesday stayed dry too, and at 9:45 am it was time to line up on the grid for the first time, with SSP getting things under way.
SSP
Lars Steenken was fastest in qualifying and lined up ahead of Chris Lehmann and Steffen Renz. Oliver Tschenett had the second row to himself, with the other two grid spots left empty. Lars completely fluffed the start, while Chris stormed into the lead. Steffen finished the opening lap in second ahead of Oliver, with Lars down in fourth. After just one lap, this quartet already had a sizeable advantage over the chasing pack. Sven Günther, Gordon Ahrens, Paulina Kabisch and Steffen Hinsenhofen put on a fantastic race in the battle for fifth. At the front, Chris kept everything under control and took a comfortable win. Steffen ran wide under braking, allowing Oliver to slip through and secure second ahead of him. Lars’s poor start left him in a frustrating fourth place. Among the chasing pack, Gordon came out on top to bring home fifth ahead of Sven and Paulina.
Rookies
Lennard Musiol was fastest among the Rookies, lining up alongside Michael Knoll and Sebastian Brittnacher. Vadim Garder, Denny Weller and Maximilian Klaes filled the second row. The start brought an immediate scare as the polesitter stalled his BMW, but everyone reacted brilliantly and got past without incident. Lennard, however, had to get his race under way in last place, a long way behind. Denny grabbed the holeshot but had Michael breathing down his neck from the outset. As the pair pulled away, the battle for third raged behind them. Vadim led the trio, with Sebastian and Maximilian in tow. Further back, Lennard launched his comeback and clocked the fastest lap of the race with a 1:42.2, eventually salvaging seventh place. Nothing changed at the front: Denny withstood the pressure and took a narrow victory over Michael. Vadim held third for six laps, but Sebastian made his move on the final lap to snatch the last podium spot, leaving Vadim fourth ahead of Maximilian.
SBK
Marc Baumann parked his RSV4 on pole, with Jan Schwede and Lukas Formella joining him on the front row. Alexander Dott, Daniel Knopf and Stefan Gruschinske filled row two. Marc made a mess of the start – usually Lukas’s speciality, although he got away much better this time. But it was Jan who tipped into turn one first, with Alexander making a superb start on his Panigale and latching straight onto Jan’s rear wheel. The pair soon had a small gap over the battle for the final podium place. Nico Butzke led that group on the opening lap, ahead of Lukas and polesitter Marc. The three kept swapping positions and were never far apart. With two laps to go, Alexander passed Jan on the brakes into the Shell S. Jan refused to be shaken off but couldn’t find a way back past. Alexander stayed fast and mistake-free to take the Superbike win, with Jan second. Marc launched one final attack over the closing laps, setting the fastest lap of the race with a 1:32.5 and securing third ahead of Nico and Lukas.
There were still two sessions left after the races. With manageable temperatures and everyone still having some energy in reserve, the circuit remained busy right to the end.
We had a brilliant time with you all once again and would like to thank every rider, helper and supporter for two fantastic days.
