Oschersleben III 2026

Monday morning at the Motorsportarena – there are few better ways to start the week. Add glorious summer weather, and you’ve got the perfect combination. Our riders enjoyed excellent track conditions, with plenty of space to put in lap after lap. The whole first day counted as qualifying for Tuesday’s races, followed by the race briefing and track walk in the evening. Afterwards, the paddock was still buzzing, with people sitting together, laughing and plotting their race strategies. With fewer race entries than usual, we added a Yellow Race for all our helpers. Just for fun, of course, but everyone still came armed with fresh rubber – nobody wanted to risk embarrassing themselves.

Overnight into Tuesday, all hell broke loose, with strong winds and heavy rain. Luckily, the track was completely dry again by morning, and the sun came out. The SSP class was up first.
<h4>SSP</h4>
Oliver Keck secured pole ahead of Dutchman Maxim Westra and Kevin Dieker. Daniel Anlauf and Michael Wordelmann lined up on the second row, with Lukas Hogrewe’s grid spot left empty. Roberto Hackethal made a dream start, charging from seventh on the grid straight to the front. He still led at the end of the opening lap, although Olli was already piling on the pressure. Kevin, meanwhile, had completely fluffed the start and had to fight his way back through. Olli reclaimed the lead on lap two and set about pulling away. Kevin and Daniel also passed Roberto and treated us to a superb battle for second. Wheel to wheel, with positions changing time and again – brilliant to watch. Olli took a convincing win, while Kevin brought it home in second ahead of Daniel. Roberto also lost out to Maxim and finished fifth.
<h4>Yellow Race</h4>
At last, the moment had arrived. Our instructors had wanted to go racing for ages, and now they finally had their chance. Jan and Deike had been travelling with us since Poznan, lending a hand wherever needed, so naturally they joined in too. Malte from Continental, Sandy and Sascha from the parts service, and Jana from the service team were all on the grid. Sandra took on race director duties and let us idiots out to play – thank you! Jan had pole ahead of Malte and Gustav, with Paddel, Andre and Alex on row two. Sascha and Rutzl had no qualifying times and had to start from the back row. Malte got away best and immediately pulled clear with Jan on his heels, while Andre made a proper mess of the start. Rutzl climbed to third on the opening lap, and Sascha also got away brilliantly to finish it in fourth. He then made short work of Rutzl and settled in to watch the entertaining scrap between Malte and Jan. The top four stayed in that order to the flag. Behind them, Gustav came out on top of the chasing pack, wresting fifth from Paddel. Sandy showed off her starting skills and really gave MiMiMi Racing a run for their money. We had an absolute blast, and it was fantastic to see so many spectators around the circuit.
<h4>SBK</h4>
Frank van der Walle parked his BMW on pole alongside Lukas Formella and Hanna Stemmer. Jurgen Renard, Jan Wenke and Michael Seifert lined up on the second row. Lukas made his customary poor start and even had contact with Jurgen, providing a brief scare straight off the line. Frank grabbed the holeshot and finished the opening lap with a sizeable lead, with Hanna second and Lukas already back up to third. Jan, Michael and Jurgen were locked in a fierce battle for fourth. Lukas passed Hanna and set the fastest lap of the race as he reeled Frank back in. Once Frank realised, he picked up the pace too, but even laps in the 1:34s couldn’t shake Lukas off. On the penultimate lap, Lukas emerged onto the start-finish straight in the lead, but Frank fought back and reclaimed the position at the end of the straight. Lukas still had another move up his sleeve, though, and took the win ahead of Frank. Hanna had a lonely race in third, while Jurgen secured fourth ahead of Michael and Jan.

There were still several sessions left after the podium ceremony, all in glorious weather, bringing the event to a lovely close.
