Oschersleben I 2026

After the weekend’s scorching heat, we couldn’t have been luckier. Cloud cover brought comfortable temperatures and perfect conditions for putting in fast laps. With a maximum of 40 riders allowed on track, everyone had plenty of room to open the throttle. Even without the extreme heat, it was still hard work: faces were bright red, but everyone wore a huge grin. After dinner together, we headed out for a track walk before rounding off the evening at a leisurely pace.

Tuesday greeted us with more glorious weather, and conditions were excellent from the very first session. Perfect for the sprint races ahead, with SSP up first.

SSP

Torsten Voss had pole, with Christian Ratering and Julien Busch alongside him. Oliver Tschenett, Norman Rebell and Nils Bockelmann completed the second row. Torsten led into turn one, while Christian completely fluffed the start and finished the opening lap in sixth. Oliver seized the opportunity and came through in second. Things quickly became clear at the front: Torsten built a sizeable lead in no time. Oliver couldn’t match his pace but managed to pull clear of the battle for the final podium place. Nils also started well and had his sights set on third after the opening laps. Christian was determined to make up for his poor start and fought his way back one position at a time. On lap four, he passed Nils to take the final podium spot. Nils began to run out of steam towards the end and had to let Julien and Norman through as well. Torsten took a commanding win ahead of Oliver, with Christian third.

Rookies

Leopold Lederer was fastest in qualifying ahead of Lars Friese and Kevin Rugor. Andre Hartlage, Nina Kieselhorst and Joshua Schöning were poised to pounce from the second row. Leopold took the lead off the line and immediately opened up a small gap. Kevin also got away well and passed Lars, but it wasn’t long before Lars closed the gap and began piling on the pressure. A little too much, as it turned out: Kevin made a mistake and had to retire. Vincent Krämer led the chasing pack but couldn’t keep Andre behind him. Kevin’s retirement then promoted Andre to third. Vincent was left in a frustrating fourth and had to fend off Jan Friedrich right to the finish. Sixth went to Jörg Lomoth, who made up several places despite a cautious start from tenth on the grid. Nothing changed at the front: Leopold took the Rookie win. Lars closed in towards the end but never quite got close enough to mount a challenge and had to settle for second.

SBK

Jan Schwede had been fastest on both days and duly claimed pole for the SBK race, with Sascha Bergmann and Frank van der Walle in second and third. Sven Isermann, Stefan Eggers and Ole Sievers lined up on row two. Jan made a poor start but had already passed Frank by the end of the start-finish straight, before showing everyone how it was done. With consistent laps in the 1:33s, he left the field trailing. Frank held second, with Sven and Sascha breathing down his neck. Alex Larsen couldn’t match the chasing trio’s pace but had a comfortable gap behind him in fifth. Sven managed to get onto Frank’s rear wheel once more, but Frank responded by upping the pace and securing second. Sven finished third ahead of Sascha, who was never far away but couldn’t quite get within striking distance. Jan took the win with an impressive eight-second margin over Frank.

The sun was beating down after the races, but everyone still made the most of the remaining track time. Osche had delivered another brilliant event.
We would like to thank every rider, helper and supporter for a fantastic couple of days on track.
