Groß Dölln VII 2026

The weekend straight after the Kids Bike Camp, and the riders at the Driving Center were all half a metre taller again. Glorious summer weather and a full house – that’s how we like it. Our instructors put in extra shifts on Saturday, with 40 sessions in a single day setting a new record. With everyone up to speed, it was time to go racing, with the Rookies up first.

Rookies

Christoph Jaekel and Magnus Sörensen had earned their places on the front row, but Magnus unfortunately missed the call and arrived too late, leaving second spot on the grid empty. Max Nowak parked his two-stroke on the second row alongside Christoffer Madsen, who was flying the flag for Denmark. Christoph took the lead off the line, while Christoffer made the most of the empty grid spot ahead and tucked in behind him. After just one lap, the pair already had a healthy gap over the chasing pack. Marcel Kaminski and Mathias Jaschke battled for third, running wheel to wheel throughout their fight. Max Nowak couldn’t match their pace and had to fend off Sören Stefes. Nothing changed at the front: Christoph kept the pace high, made no mistakes and took the win ahead of Christoffer. Unfortunately, Mathias had to retire from the battle for third, handing the place to Marcel. Max kept his two-stroke ahead of Sören to finish fourth.

The young guns had set the fastest times, with Tim Bruns on pole ahead of Leo Schröder, although Leo was racing outside the official classification. Andreas Poteradi lined up on the second row ahead of Holger Salmen on his supermoto. Tim took the lead off the line and put on a spectacular show with Leo: laps in the 1:46s, flat out and wheel to wheel, gave the spectators plenty to enjoy. Holger also got away well and finished the opening lap in third, but Andreas was already on his rear wheel. Against the power of the supersport bike, Holger stood no chance on the start-finish straight. Behind them, Jonathan Herbst and Kristian Cukina were locked in a battle of their own – you could have thrown a blanket over the pair throughout the race. On lap five, Leo Schröder emerged onto the start-finish straight in the lead, having found a way past Tim. Tim clung determinedly to his rear wheel, but Leo crossed the line first. With Leo not counting towards the results, Tim took the victory. Andreas pulled clear of Holger’s supermoto to claim second, while Holger received the final podium trophy. Jonathan had kept Kristian behind him for the entire race, but then lifted the front wheel for a wheelie just before the finish. Kristian seized that brief opportunity and snatched fourth at the line.

After the podium ceremonies, everyone enjoyed dinner together. And with two couples in the MotoMonster team having tied the knot, they treated everyone to free beer. Many thanks to Karo and Steven, and Manu and Enrico. We wish you all the very best and are delighted to celebrate with you.

Sunday brought equally lovely weather, and all the riders made the most of it. Our instructors were busy once again on day two, sharing plenty of tips and tricks for the demanding Groß Dölln circuit. We had a brilliant time and would like to thank every rider, helper and supporter once again for two fantastic days.
