Groß Dölln III 2026

A weekend of sunshine at the Driving Center. The traditional mid-May cold snap still had us in its grip, but blue skies and sunshine made everything much more enjoyable. Everyone headed out on track full of enthusiasm, and with virtually no stoppages, there was plenty of riding to be had. At 6 pm, it was time to go racing again, with the Rookies up first.
Rookies
Maximilian Nowak lined up on pole alongside Roland Sloot, with Hendrik Dannenberg and Leon Anderer poised to pounce from row two.
Roland took the lead off the line but had a sizeable pack breathing down his neck. He enjoyed one lap in front before the attacks began coming every lap. First, Maximilian snatched the lead. A lap later, Mathias Röttger passed Roland at the Hundekurve, and another lap on, Leon took third. When Norbert Bodo also found a way past, Roland regrouped and reclaimed fourth. Nothing changed at the front: Maximilian took the win ahead of Mathias, who had started sixth and ridden a superb race, with Leon finishing third.
SBK
Mike Brattke was fastest in qualifying and lined up ahead of Leo Schröder, who was once again racing outside the official classification. Melf Carstensen and Tobias Teß had their sights set on the podium from row two. Mike stalled his Ducati at the start and had to get going from last place. Leo got away well and immediately disappeared into the distance. That left Tobias leading the classified riders, with Melf glued to his rear wheel. Robert Leben came through the opening lap in third, having started seventh on his old GSXR, and kept David Klein behind him. Things stayed the same at the front until the penultimate lap, when Melf went for it, passed Tobias and immediately opened up a small gap. Robert looked set for a solid third place, with David unable to close the distance. Then Rico Niemeier suddenly found his turbo button. First, he passed David, and on the final lap, Robert had to give way and surrender third. Robert finished fourth ahead of David, while Mike Brattke recovered to sixth. Melf took the win ahead of Tobias.
After the podium ceremony, everyone enjoyed dinner together before rounding off the day with a track walk.
Sunday turned out to be the best day of all, with glorious sunshine and temperatures finally starting to rise. Everyone had six more sessions to enjoy, once again without a single stoppage – just how we like it.
We would like to thank every rider, helper and supporter for a fantastic weekend.
